Mobile Games Senior Programmer – iPhone/Android/Mobile

Mobile Deluxe seeks Programmer to work on application development and an Internal Development Platform.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced Mobile programmer with experience in Java, C/C++, and Objective-C who can quickly get up to speed on our Internal Development Platform.  We expect our programmers to do things the right way and strive to overcome obstacles.  Must be able to take input from producer and other team members.

Experience with Facebook Connect or other 3rd Party mobile APIs and/or experience with HTML 5 and JavaScript are a plus.

Responsibilities:
  • Effectively estimate task and project durations
  • Do whatever it takes to meet goals and hit deadlines
  • Write technical specification documents for new features/projects
  • Prototype and develop software for cutting-edge mobile applications
  • Help design and implement monetization methods
  • Work with Technical Director, producer, artists, and testers
  • Test, debug and revise code as needed
  • Assist in analyzing game performance and fine-tuning to team specifications
  • Work as part of a team, reporting and communicating accordingly
  • Play Ping-Pong (“wicked backhand” specifically requested to team up with Technical Director)
Requirements:
  • BS degree and 5+ years experience in software development Programming skills in Java, C/C++, Objective-C and/or object oriented design
  • Demonstrated ownership and leadership for projects and assignments; ability to work independently and in a team environment with a history of good technical choices and decision making
  • Experience with developing applications for small hand-held devices and one or more mobile operating systems, including Objective-C/iOS, Java/Android, or Windows Phone 7/7.5
  • Self starter able to work with minimal supervision
  • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting capabilities
  • Excellent debugging and optimization skills
  • Ability to learn new skills quickly with minimal guidance
  • Ability to work in a team environment with aggressive deadlines and multiple priorities while being a team player
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, as well as the ability to document & write specification
  • Strong attention to detail
